Spider pest control
Spiders are predators, feeding primarily on insects and household pests. They Are shy and commonly found in dim cool places that are rarely disturbed by humans. Most are active only at night and will try to escape when confronted. Larger spiders may try to bite humans if alarmed. Tropical spiders may be imported with goods – some may be dangerous to human’s e.g Black widow (Latrodectus mactans) and Red back spider (Lactrodectus hasseltii).
Spiders are one of the most-feared of all pests in the home that people want to exterminate. There are more phobias about spiders than any other past, and understandably so. If you get bitten by the wrong spider – a black widow or a brown recluse – and you have a bad reaction to the venom, you can end up in the hospital
What Spiders can do?
Arachnophobia
Many people do have an inherent fear of spiders, known as Arachnophobia. This causes feelings of uneasiness at the mere sight of spiders, leading to excessive sweating, crying and panic attacks.
Venomous Spiders
Brown house spider bites may cause blisters around the bite and can include moderate to severe pain plus mild to moderate nausea, headache and lethargy. Symptoms normally last from 1-60 hours unless the bite victim is allergic to the spider’s venom.
Spider Bite
Non-poisonous spiders can bite you and your family, leaving welt sized abrasions on your skin. Spider bites can be painful and irritating and could lead to serious harm if not medically treated.
Spider Web
Spiders build webs no matter if they are in or outside, and those webs can lend an unkept and unattractive appearance to any home. Webs can be a pain to remove and clean up. They can also leave smudge marks on painted surfaces and upholstered furniture.

Facts about the Spiders
- There are more than 35,000 species of spiders worldwide
- Spider eggs are laid into a silken sac, on average about 100 eggs in each sac, which may be fixed to a surface, hidden in the web or carried by the female. Signs of the sacs fixed indoors indicate that soon there will be more spiders around
- As the temperature drops in the months of October, spiders become more active, looking for a mate, and come out of their hiding places. Towards the end of this month many die off, but some hibernate until around the month of March
